WHAT IS POSITIVE TRANSITIONING?
First, what's positive psychology?

Secondly, what's positive education?
'Positive education' is education for both traditional skills and for happiness.

Lastly, what's positive transitioning?
Making life transitions is part of being human - we all do this.
But, "Positive Transitioning" is something we can achieve with access to relevant information and an optimal mindset.
‘Positive Transitioning’ is “the study of the conditions and processes that contribute to the flourishing or optimal functioning of people, groups, and institutions when undertaking the process or period of change from one state or condition to another.”
In other words, how we can best prepare individuals to navigate new beginnings. We do this by preparing them emotionally, practically, and socially for their specific transition.
When these transitions are a positive, happy experience, it can become the foundation of many years of academic and social future success. It has also been found to be vital to the development of students' self-esteem and academic self-competence as well as preventative of potential anti-social behaviour, substance misuse, depression, and suicide.
As educators and parents, you have a very important role to play in supporting the child. They will look to you for information and reassurance.
